Tiya is one of the indian restaurants listed in San Francisco, California. The business is registered at 3213 Scott St, San Francisco, CA 94123; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Google also lists it under bar, fine dining restaurant, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 5–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Tiya at (415) 400-8500; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, tiyasf.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 506 reviews, which is a strong result for an indian restaurant in San Francisco and suggests consistent service.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Beautiful restaurant, upscale ambience, and stunning plating. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Every dish looked great but tasted bland, confused, or simply unpleasant. As someone familiar with Indian food, the flavors were deeply disappointing. I cannot emphasize how bad some dishes were that I wanted to run out mid meal and go grab some street food. The only item I enjoyed was the ras malai dessert. Service was fine, but not particularly warm. The manager is a nice guy. It saddens me to write this review But I spent close to $500 including tips and tried the tasting menu, hoping for a memorable fusion Indian dining experience. Instead, it was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Owners please do something about the flavors and I’d be happy to take this review off when resolved. If you’re looking for flavorful Indian or fusion cuisine, I would not recommend Tiya. You’re paying for the presentation and atmosphere, not the food.

Finally a fine dining Indian restaurant that’s absolutely worth the hype! Every single dish we ordered was very well curated. Drinks were super refreshing. Service was impeccable and we enjoyed every bit of every bite we took.

Michelin star, Delicious indian fare. Appetizers were unique, well presented, tasty with layered unique flavors. Main dish were off beat except for traditional butter chicken. Chef Pujan Sarkar was walking around greeting patrons. Reserve recommend. Must try if you are around.

Had an exceptional dining experience at Tiya. Creative, beautifully executed dishes that celebrate Indian flavors with a fresh and contemporary perspective. Every course was thoughtfully crafted, balancing innovation with familiarity. Kudos to Chef Pujan and the entire team for delivering a memorable and refined dining experience. A must visit for anyone who appreciates modern Indian cuisine.

The food is decent, but we were expecting more for the price. If you love a twist on Indian cuisine, this is a great place to try. Service is pretty great, we didn’t have a reservation but were seated within 5 minutes. The place gets quite lively during dinner time.

This is a fancy upscale Indian restaurant in San Francisco, listed in the Michelin Guide 2025. I booked a Friday night dinner here and was quite excited to try it. A couple of practical notes first: they are strict about reservation timing, so it’s best to be punctual. Parking is also a challenge since there’s no dedicated lot β€” you’ll likely need to use a nearby garage. The space itself feels upscale but not quiet or formal; it has a lively, slightly loud dining-room energy. Service was professional but not particularly warm or attentive given the price point. We went for the chef’s tasting menu and added cocktails. The cocktails were fine but not especially memorable. The tasting menu unfolds over a long meal (almost two hours), and while the portions look small at first, they do add up to a filling experience. The opening courses were modern, bite-sized interpretations of Indian street food β€” a single plated pani puri, a mini kachori, and a small eggplant-filled cone. Very creative and visually impressive, though the cold kachori filling and extremely minimal portions may not appeal to everyone expecting traditional versions. Next came a chaat-inspired dish with a crispy lea

Tiya is a unique dining experience in San Francisco you do not want to miss. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place they want to WOW them. The food, the cocktails, the service, the authenticity... all perfection. Their Michelin guide does not go unnoticed and is very well deserved. Umesh is fabulous β€” his knowledge on the cuisine and skills in mixology are very impressive. This is a place I will visit again and again, and I cannot wait to return when I am back in San Francisco! I also am looking forward to trying their sister restaurant "Indienne" opening soon in New York City this summer.

I’d been planning to come here for the better part of a year now and finally during SF Restaurant week pulled the trigger. But we didn’t get the tasting menu and went for A La Carte. Every single thing on the menu was top tier starting off hot with the cocktails. If you like Mezcal the Embarcadero is the way to go. The butter chicken had a Smokey flavor unlike any butter chicken I’ve had before. I think the pictures speak for themselves on this one, highly recommended!
